Conventional fluorescent lamp is form with tubular lamp (TL) with transformer ballast and starter bulb. Operated with 220 volt main voltage. Wiring diagram of this lamp, can be seen below:

The characteristics of this conventional fluorescent TL are:
- This lamp type still have deficiency at power consumption,
- Eye blink detection when the light is on,
- Light produced is directly proportional to the electrical power consumed
- Long start lamp ignition, because the starter takes a warming
Ignition process can be accelerated by using greater power ballast, max. twist of power TL so the TL bulb do not quickly to broken or burnt.
